Hoedspruit has a quickly growing international community of residents who all share a passion for nature and wildlife. With the facilities that the town has to offer (supermarkets, shops etc.), it is a comfortable and safe place to live and work. Because the town is surrounded by large game reservers, like the Kruger Park, it has earned the name of being the safari capital of South Africa.

Hoedspruit is promising to become a culinary destination next to a safari destination with an increasing number of good restaurants. There are pubs like the Brewery and more fine dining restaurants like the Hat and Creek. At the moment the town consists of more than 21 restaurants.

Hoedspruit Airports

Hoedspruit has two airports, the main one being Eastgate (HDS). This is the airport with connections to Johannesburg and Cape Town and is the one mainly used to travel to and from Hoedspruit. 

The other airport is Hoedspruit Civil, which is mainly used for private flights and sports. 

Accommodations in Hoedspruit

Hoedspruit is an excellent destination for a safari holiday and the town offers plenty of accommodations.
